MUSIC LESSONS

If you have always wanted to be a better rock, pop, metal, country, jazz, gospel, or R & B artist then we have the right teacher for you. Students spend time each week perfecting skills to improve their techniques, ear training, tone production and much more. All artist set goals with their teacher to work on sounding like their favorite recording artists, or if they prefer, to develop their own unique style. We not only teach guitar, piano, voice, singing, and bass, but also work with singers, celebrity artist, bands, TV and radio personalities, CD producing and more.

Our teachers teach rock, blues, metal, reggae, country, gospel, and classical lessons on electric and acoustic guitars. Beginner students can expect to work on chords, simple songs and melodies, sight reading and theory. We balance musicianship and fun by making sure that each lesson you are challenged with a new technical or theory concept, but always ending with something fun such as your favorite riff or song. We use a variety of methods to accomplish this and we encourage students (to whom we call artist) to bring CDs or their iPod to their lesson to learn their favorite tunes.




WHAT DO YOU LEARN IN YOUR MUSIC LESSONS?

That question is often asked by prospective students/artists. Our teachers make it a priority to get to know you on a personal level and to become familiar with your personal musical needs and goals.

We do not treat every student/artist the same in terms of what and how we teach. We work with all ages the young and the young at heart.

An eight year old having their first guitar lesson will have very different needs than a fifty eight year old taking up guitar for the 2nd time after having had lessons as a child.

The main reason to choose Jon E. Gee's Music Room as your music lesson provider, is that we are sensitive to the fact that every student/artist is an individual.

If you enroll here for lessons, we will work with you to make a plan that will fit your needs and musical preferences. At the first lesson your teacher will ask you about your favorite type of music, and set goals to help accomplish whatever musical aspirations you have for yourself or your child.

WHAT STYLES OF MUSIC DO YOU TEACH?

We teach all styles from rock, metal, pop, jazz, country, blues, gospel and classical.

ARE YOUR INSTRUCTORS QUALIFIED?
Our instructors are professional musicians, that have performed with and are now performing with celebrities such as John Mellencamp, Ted Nugent, Kid Rock, Cheryl Crowe, Brian McNight, Kenny Babyface Edmonds and John David many more. Our instructors have gone on performance tours of the US and Europe and have over 25 years of professional performance and teaching experience. In addition to their teaching credentials, our teachers have warm personalities, are extremely friendly and strive to get to know each student and their parent on a personal level.

Lessons are 30 minute, 45 minute, or 1 hour weekly sessions or twice a week sessions
depending on your needs, desires, and dreams.

We do not require semester minimums for lessons. Every student here is on a month to month basis.

If you are ready to start, you have nothing to lose as we only want students who truly want to be here and we will not commit you to a long term contract.
